NIM (Network Inventory Management) Solution Architect

Work as a NIM Solution Architect (SA) on a major IT Transformation Project (cluster: Network Inventory Management) with the following responsibilities:

  • Analyzing, designing & developing commercially viable end-to-end technical solutions for the customers
  • Making profitable business by translating customer needs & technology opportunities into detailed technical offering, solutions & proposals.
  • As an SA you will be placed at the centre of activities, entailing a high level of interaction with RMED organizational units, the Global Service Center and Product Units as well as Customer, Technical, Marketing and Business Development teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent. An MSc/MBA is a significant plus
  • 5 - 7 years of experience as a Solution Architect in Network Inventory Management - preferably Telcordia Inventory & Discovery (Granite, CNUM), otherwise Amdocs/Cramer Network Inventory Management, NetCracker etc
  • Minimum 5 - 7 years experience in Telco ICT
  • Extensive IT Projects experience including SOA/BPM architecture experience. Participation in OSS IT Transformation projects in the past is a plus.
  • Knowledge of transmission and core layers and modeling those in an Inventory environment is a plus
  • Experience in most of the following would be a real plus: - Java Standard Edition (J2SE) and Enterprise Edition (J2EE) (e.g. JDBC, Enterprise Java Beans, Java Message Service) and general familiarity with the Web Services concept - databases: Oracle Database Enterprise Edition - scripting languages (perl, shell etc) and xml - good Unix systems knowledge (OS and HW dimensioning and capacity planning)
  • Understanding of Network design and operation and performance tuning
  • Strong client facing experience. Ability to engage and constantly communicate with the customer in the context of the work.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • English Fluency (both spoken and written).
  • Strong team player / ability to guide and lead others / knowledge sharing attitude.
  • General "open source" knowledge, "hands on" approach and a "can do" attitude
