ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Formulate and implement business plans to meet the company’s revenue and cost targets for Mobile Data services.
- Develops the strategy, roadmap, ideation, design, evaluation, launch and rollout of Mobile Data services (ie. Mobile Data, Blackberry Data Services, Mobile Broadband)
- Manage the overall product lifecycle of Mobile Data Services.
- Develop technical specifications for new Mobile Data products, features or service enhancements
- Increase profitability of the Mobile Data Services
- Maximize EBIT by effectively managing Mobile Data Services portfolio – via product enhancements, value propositioning, bundling, and partnership
- Define Service Excellence opportunities of Mobile Data Services that will deliver superior user experience of mobile data subscribers
- In partnership with Campaign Managers, create segment-specific promotions and packages which create the highest possible value for the Client in Myanmar
- Analyse market potential of new Mobile Data technologies
- Develop User Acceptance Testing frameworks and ensure that all new service offerings are tested successfully before market readiness
- Puts in place product monitoring procedures to ensure that all product launches meet the stated proposition and owns any actions/adjustments required
- Undertakes proactive and reactive product health monitoring checks to identify potential issues or problems, and takes necessary actions
- Evaluate partnership offers from recognizable Internet brands to launch customer attractive and profitable services (Over The Top partners such as Facebook, Google, WhatsApp, and other)
- Conduct regular market research to maintain high technological and market value level in comparison to world leading Mobile Data offerings
- Working with the Clients Technology department to plan and implement product and service enhancements to existing Mobile Data portfolio
- In conjunction with Acquisition Managers and the Marketing Communication teams, ensure advertising (ATL/BTL) campaigns clearly identifies the correct propositions to ensure targeted uptake and revenue
- Works with the Pricing Managers, Marketing Planning, Regulatory/Legal, Revenue Assurance department and others, to develop pricing models, which will be in-line with revenue targets and regulatory requirements
- Maintains up to date knowledge of technology and products which may generate new Mobile Data propositions
- Owns the Go/No Go decision for launching of Mobile Data products
- Project Manager production of training documentation / information packs to related departments
- Carry out training to ensure that Sales, Sales Support, Customer Experience and Contact Center functions are adequately trained on Mobile Data services
- Liaise with Network stakeholders to ensure that the appropriate Network Elements are able to provide capacity for Mobile Data Services and meet forecasted demand
EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Minimum Experience & Essential Knowledge
- Minimum 10 years of work experience in of which 3 should be within a comparable telecom company in a similar role where developing products and services has played a significant role
- Must have knowledge of technology platforms (eg. Internet Protocol, 2G/3D/WCDMA, data communication technology, Online Charging Billing, CRM, PCRF, DPI)
- Must have experience of product development and management life cycles
- Previous experience managing small team would be preferred
Minimum Entry Qualifications
- Bachelor/Master degree in Marketing/Computer Science/Telecommunication/Management
